Christopher Lis is the Managing Director of Global Healthcare Intelligence at J.D. Power where he leads the strategic direction, growth and profitability of the practice.
Prior to joining J.D. Power, Lis was a senior advisor with Leavitt Partners, a national consulting firm founded by former HHS Secretary Mike Leavitt, that provides strategic advisory services to a broad range of healthcare organizations striving to make healthcare more accessible, affordable and sustainable.
Preceding his affiliation with Leavitt Partners, Lis served on the market executive leadership team at ChenMed, where he led significant growth and operational excellence success in value-based healthcare transformation for seniors in underserved communities. Before ChenMed, he served as president and COO for a post-acute healthcare network, leading an enterprise with more than 2,000 team members through a period of significant growth transformation, including winning the organization the McKnight’s Innovator of the Year Award in partnership with the executive team.
In prior roles, Lis served as corporate chief strategy officer while on the national executive team at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (now part of City of Hope, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center).
His leadership works have been featured in two Harvard Business School Case studies, a Bain & Company white paper, a Harvard Business School Press Book and more than 50 peer-reviewed medical and scientific manuscripts.
Lis holds a bachelor’s degree in health planning and administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an MPH and Ph.D. from the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
